Maclaurin Swift Is My Favorite Singer

Imagine trying to count your inventory before the concept of zero existed! Ancient merchants just standing there like "I had some apples... now I have... uh... fewer apples? No apples? Something-that-isn't-apples?" The mathematical void before zero was invented is both hilarious and terrifying. Next time you're annoyed by basic arithmetic, remember that for thousands of years, humanity was just vibing without the numerical concept of nothing. Zero wasn't widely used until around 500 CE, meaning entire civilizations built pyramids and aqueducts while essentially missing a fundamental digit. That's not just a skill issue—that's playing math on hard mode.

Linear algebra making all things possible in AI is the computational equivalent of saying duct tape holds the universe together. Sure, those matrix multiplications are doing the heavy lifting, but calling LLMs "just linear algebra" is like calling the human brain "just atoms moving around." Next time someone downplays AI as simple math, remind them that Shakespeare was "just using the alphabet." Through linear algebra, all sass is possible, so jot that down.

STEM fields fighting over who gets to claim the smartest students is the academic equivalent of medieval knights competing for a princess's favor. Physics majors strut around with their fundamental forces, mathematicians flex their abstract reasoning muscles, engineers build impressive contraptions to show off, and computer scientists code their way into the spotlight—while finance majors just wave their future paychecks. Meanwhile, the brilliant students are just trying to figure out which field won't crush their souls (and maybe pay the bills).

The eternal struggle of first-year math students! You're staring at a proof thinking "what sorcery is this?" while your professor casually skips multiple steps with the dismissive "it's trivial." Then comes the psychological damage when they drop that "it would be obvious if you were smarter" bomb. The mathematical equivalent of watching someone solve a Rubik's cube in 5 seconds and saying "just move the squares until the colors match." Thanks for the detailed instructions, Professor!

The infamous "spherical cow" - where theoretical physicists strip away all those pesky real-world complications like, you know, actual cow shape . "Consider a perfectly spherical cow in vacuum" is basically physics-speak for "I'm going to ignore everything that makes this problem hard." Sure, it makes the math work out beautifully, but good luck milking that geometric monstrosity. Next week: frictionless chickens and point-mass elephants!

Math has officially claimed another victim! The moment you start seeing "lol" as |o| (absolute value of o), you've crossed the mathematical point of no return. For the uninitiated, absolute value is just math's fancy way of saying "I don't care about your negative sign, just give me the positive distance from zero." So |o| would technically be... the absolute value of the letter o? Which is still just o? The irony is that while they're losing their mind over mathematical notation, they're simultaneously using "lol" - which is exactly what the rest of us are doing at their mathematical breakdown. It's a recursive humor function!
