The 450 GeV energy reading is like the LHC doing warm-up stretches – this is injection energy, nowhere near the full 6.8 TeV per beam it'll eventually reach. But those billions of protons per beam (check those scientific notation numbers) are already zooming around that 27-kilometer underground racetrack in Switzerland.
Fun fact: Getting both beams stable enough to circulate is genuinely exciting for physicists because one wrong magnetic twitch and trillions of dollars worth of equipment could have a very bad day. So yeah, this screenshot is basically nerd Christmas morning.
