The joke brilliantly plays on the double meaning of "one" push-up - implying both that he does a single push-up each time something's named after him AND that's all it takes for him to maintain that physique because it happens so frequently.

From Euler's identity (e^iπ + 1 = 0) to Euler's method, Euler's number (e), Euler angles, Euler's formula, Euler circuits... the man basically colonized mathematics. No wonder the other character is utterly flabbergasted. If Euler actually did one push-up for each concept bearing his name, he'd indeed look like a mathematical demigod!
