The molecular chase is on! RNA-polymerase is frantically trying to escape while Rho factor pursues it like a determined predator.
For the uninitiated: RNA-polymerase is the enzyme that creates RNA transcripts from DNA, but sometimes it needs to know when to stop. Enter Rho factor - the transcription termination protein that chases down RNA-polymerase and forces it to release the RNA strand.
It's basically the molecular version of Tom and Jerry, except Tom (Rho) occasionally catches Jerry (RNA-polymerase) and shuts down the whole transcription party. No wonder they look terrified - their entire genetic expression depends on this microscopic game of tag!
