We’Ll Get To Them Later

When government funding dries up, desperate scientists turn to the dark arts of corporate sponsorship! The meme brilliantly parodies academic papers by showing scientific plots and data visualizations plastered with logos like Amazon, DraftKings, and Duolingo - essentially turning serious research into the equivalent of a NASCAR driver's jacket. The caption "Figure 5. Example of how multiple ads can be used to fill the entire space left empty" is pure scientific deadpan humor that hits too close to home for anyone who's ever written a grant application. Next up in prestigious journals: research papers with "This breakthrough brought to you by HelloFresh" in the footnotes.

Marketing: "Try our new chemical-free product!" Chemist: *imagines world without molecules* Physicist: *imagines world without fundamental particles* Listen, everything is chemicals. Your water? Chemicals. Your organic kale? Chemicals. Your "all-natural" deodorant? You guessed it—chemicals. The universe is literally made of them. Next time someone brags about their "chemical-free" lifestyle, just smile and think about how they're basically claiming to be an ethereal being composed of pure nothingness.

The academic food chain in all its glory! While math, physics, and engineering students smugly think they've seen it all, biology students are having an existential crisis at the sight of calculus. That green monster isn't just any monster—it's integral calculus coming to devour your GPA and free time. The hierarchy of scientific smugness gets absolutely wrecked when derivatives enter the chat. Even the bravest bio major who confidently dissected a frog is now screaming at the sight of a differential equation. Meanwhile, physics students are like "first time?" 😏

The greatest physicist who ever rocked a bongo drum just dropped the mic on intellectual honesty! Feynman famously admitted that despite being a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, even he couldn't fully explain how magnets work at the fundamental level. It's the perfect scientific humility bomb - sometimes the most brilliant move in science is admitting what you don't know. Meanwhile, your Facebook uncle has VERY strong opinions about quantum vaccines and moon landing hoaxes after watching half a YouTube video.

Mathematicians trying to make their field sound fancy: "This is a linear function with slope 2 and y-intercept 3." Engineers who just want to get things done: "Number goes in, gets doubled, add 3, number comes out. Next problem." The elegant simplicity of calling functions "number machines" would save us approximately 4.7 hours of pretentious terminology per semester. I'm submitting this to the International Mathematical Union immediately.

The engineering hierarchy in its natural habitat! This meme brilliantly captures the interdisciplinary shade-throwing between engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineers see themselves as Greek gods chiseled from marble, while viewing electrical engineers as nerdy bow-tie enthusiasts and software "engineers" as literally just thumbs on a keyboard. Meanwhile, electrical engineers perceive themselves as superhuman speedsters, mechanical engineers as cartoon monkeys with wrenches, and software folks as actual clowns. The quotation marks around "Engineers" for software developers is the chef's kiss of professional gatekeeping. Nothing says "real science" like disciplinary tribalism!
