Pitch-drop Memes

Nothing says "I'm sorry" quite like watching pitch drop at a rate of approximately one drop per decade. For those blissfully unaware, the pitch drop experiment is literally just watching tar flow through a funnel. It's been running since 1927, and only nine drops have fallen. The last one took 13 years. So yeah, if she's waiting for that "special edition hourglass" to run out before forgiving you, you've got roughly until the heat death of the universe to reflect on your mistakes. The relationship counselor would call this "taking time to process," but physics calls it "viscosity so high it makes glaciers look impatient."
