The biohybrid machine is controlled by the mushroom's electrical signals, meaning the fungus is literally driving the robot around like some kind of organic Tesla. Here's the kicker: mushrooms are already the planet's ultimate networkers, forming massive underground mycelial networks that communicate across forests. They've been running Earth's recycling program for millions of years. Now we're giving them mobility? Next thing you know, they'll be demanding voting rights and honestly, given their track record of efficient resource distribution and ecosystem management, they'd probably make better decisions than most of our current leadership. The nervous laughter is justified. We're one firmware update away from a mushroom uprising, and I'm not entirely sure I'd fight against it. At least fungi know how to share resources through their networks instead of hoarding them.
