The bell curve of evolution understanding strikes again! At one end, we have people who think humans rode dinosaurs like prehistoric Ubers (separated by a casual 65 million years). At the other end, we have folks hallucinating pterodactyls outside their apartment windows. Meanwhile, the sensible middle just sighs collectively while reading their paleontology textbooks. Nothing says "I failed basic earth science" quite like thinking The Flintstones was a documentary.

Science textbooks: "The human eye is a marvel of evolution with 576 megapixels of resolution!" Meanwhile, my actual eyes turn every streetlight into a JJ Abrams lens flare after 8pm. The hilarious irony is that while we're busy bragging about our superior optical hardware, most of us can't find our phone that's literally in our hand. Evolution gave us incredible visual processing but forgot to include the "find my keys" feature. Nature's little practical joke on humanity.

When blue and yellow mix, they make green—and there's Green and Yellow in the hospital bed having a baby crayon! Red's "Oh, no reason" response is basically the crayon equivalent of deleting browser history. This is incomplete dominance in action—where neither trait completely masks the other, resulting in a blended phenotype. Unlike complete dominance where one trait fully dominates, here we get the scandalous green offspring as evidence of Yellow's genetic infidelity. Looks like Red just got schooled in non-Mendelian genetics and paternity tests simultaneously!

Ever wonder what happens when cicadas emerge after their underground hibernation? THIS RIGHT HERE! 😂 These incredible insects spend up to 17 years buried in soil, living their best subterranean life, only to burst out like nature's most dramatic teenagers! They emerge, make an absolute RACKET (cicada mating calls can reach 100 decibels - that's chainsaw level!), engage in a brief but intense mating frenzy, and then promptly die after a few weeks above ground. Talk about living fast and dying young! The meme perfectly captures their brief, chaotic existence with the muscular cicada ready to absolutely dominate its short time in the spotlight. Nature really said "here's your one shot at reproduction - MAKE IT COUNT!"

Two dinosaurs making a forever promise, only to end up as a museum exhibit 65 million years later? Talk about the ultimate relationship fossil! Their "till death do us part" turned into "till paleontologists do us reassemble." The cosmic irony here is that they actually did stay together forever—just not in the way they imagined. First a primitive cell swallows an alpha-proteobacterium and—surprise!—gets mitochondria as a participation prize.
