This alignment chart brilliantly categorizes the different species of lab students we've all encountered (or embodied) in chemistry class. The middle ground is where most of us live - just showing up (True Neutral) or doing the bare minimum with average results (Lawful Neutral). Meanwhile, the "Chaotic Good" is that genius who somehow gets perfect results despite forgetting half the safety protocols. FYI: Mouth pipetting was actually common practice until the 1970s before we collectively realized that sucking chemicals through tubes might be problematic. Science history's "chaotic evil" era!

The chemistry troll strikes again! This meme hits right at the heart of chemical impossibility. Nitrogen monoxide (NO) exists, but "nitrogen monoxide" with an emphasis on "monoxide" suggests NO₂, which would actually be nitrogen dioxide. The person's friend responds with a simple "NO" - which is both a refusal AND ironically the correct chemical formula! It's the perfect chemistry dad joke hiding in plain sight. Chemistry students everywhere are either crying or high-fiving right now.

The molecular structure of margarine is nowhere near plastic. It's like saying humans are one chromosome away from being bananas. Margarine is primarily vegetable oils with emulsifiers, while plastics are synthetic polymers with completely different chemical structures. And those "27 shared ingredients with paint"? Pure fiction. Both might contain water and some preservatives, but that's like saying coffee and motor oil are similar because both are brown liquids. Next they'll claim peanut butter is two molecules away from being superglue. The food science here is about as accurate as measuring temperature with a ruler.

It's the same molecule, but with a fancy name and a tuxedo! Chemistry students know this pain—carbon dioxide in a lab coat is suddenly "methanedione" at fancy conferences.
