It's basically the corporate version of "keep out" signs with extra engineering spite. The specialized screwdriver needed to open Nintendo devices is like the key to a secret club that Nintendo never invited you to join. Hardware hackers and repair enthusiasts have been cursing these triangular nightmares for decades while Nintendo sits back thinking, "Good luck getting past our mechanical immune system!"
