Currently, the US has 50 states, but adding Puerto Rico, DC, and Guam would make 53—a prime number that can't be divided by anything except itself and 1. Just like the pledge says: "one nation, indivisible." Get it? Because prime numbers are literally indivisible! This is what happens when math nerds try to solve political problems.
