Texas Instruments has maintained its calculator monopoly with the same 1990s technology at premium prices, while Casio gets obliterated despite offering comparable functions at half the cost. The train collision metaphor is painfully accurate - TI calculators are basically ancient technology that somehow costs more than a month of streaming services.
