Marie Curie dropping inspirational wisdom about conquering fear through understanding, then immediately throwing physics under the bus is peak scientist energy. The woman who discovered radioactivity and won two Nobel Prizes is basically saying "yeah, knowledge is power and all that, but physics? That stuff will mess you up." Coming from someone who literally carried around radioactive materials in her pockets and kept glowing test tubes in her desk drawer, this hits different. If the person who helped unlock the secrets of atomic structure is telling you physics is terrifying, maybe we should listen. Then again, she also died from radiation exposure, so perhaps her relationship with physics was... complicated. The juxtaposition of the eloquent, philosophical quote with the blunt "that shit is scary" is comedy gold. It's like watching a motivational speaker suddenly break character mid-speech to admit they're also confused and terrified.
