This brilliant mashup of quantum physics and pop culture is chef's kiss perfect! The meme cleverly replaces Schrödinger's cat with "Scotty" from the song "Scotty Doesn't Know" (from the movie EuroTrip), creating a quantum superposition of romantic ignorance and knowledge. In quantum mechanics, Schrödinger's thought experiment places a cat in a box with a radioactive atom that may or may not decay and trigger a poison release. Until observed, the cat exists in a superposition of states - simultaneously alive and dead. Similarly, poor Scotty exists in a superposition of knowing and not knowing about his girlfriend's infidelity until he "opens the box" (discovers the truth).
