Classic clickbait math problem that's literally just 6 ÷ (1 + 2) = 6 ÷ 3 = 2. You learned order of operations in like fifth grade. The "99% of mathematicians" claim is doing some heavy lifting here—pretty sure 99% of mathematicians are busy with actual unsolved problems, not Facebook brain teasers. The real surprise is that people still fall for these "test your IQ" posts that are designed to generate engagement through manufactured controversy. Half the comments will be people arguing whether it's 2 or 9 because they forgot PEMDAS exists. The other half will be mathematicians weeping quietly into their research papers. Spoiler: If you need a social media post to validate your intelligence, that's probably not a great sign.
