Drug-testing Memes

Nothing says "cutting-edge neuroscience" quite like keeping disembodied brains alive in a lab somewhere. This startup Bexorg is literally creating the plot of every sci-fi horror movie ever made—taking brains from deceased donors, restoring some cellular functions, and using them as biological test subjects for drug development. It's like organoids leveled up and chose violence. The ethical implications alone could fill a philosophy department's entire semester. These brains exist in some twilight zone between life and death—not conscious (hopefully), but functional enough to test how drugs affect neural tissue for neurodegenerative diseases. It's simultaneously brilliant and deeply unsettling, like someone read "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" and thought "yeah, but what if we made it useful for Alzheimer's research?" Props to the researchers for finding a way to advance medical science while also ensuring none of us sleep soundly tonight.
