Chemistry nerds unite! This meme is a brilliant play on the word "cooler" - both as slang for "more awesome" and literally as in "temperature drop." When potassium nitrate (KNO 3 ) dissolves in water, it creates an endothermic reaction, which means it absorbs heat from the surroundings and makes the solution physically colder.
