The irony is delicious. "Biology is boring" says the uninitiated, while actual biologists are sitting in labs with gloved hands through sealed windows handling organisms that could wipe out a small country if they sneezed wrong. Nothing says "exciting career choice" like working with pathogens that require you to communicate with colleagues through airtight barriers. Sure, boring... just like skydiving without a parachute is boring. Those BSL-3 and BSL-4 labs aren't designed with triple airlocks because biologists enjoy playing spaceship—they're keeping the stuff inside from turning your organs into soup. But yeah, totally dull field.
