Scientists keep walking right past perfectly good Mars (literally our next-door neighbor) while drooling over distant exoplanets because they have "atmospheres" and "potential biosignatures." Classic space exploration FOMO. Meanwhile, Mars is standing there like "Hello? Red planet right here with actual rover footprints on my surface?" But no—we'd rather fantasize about planets thousands of light-years away that we'll never actually visit in our lifetime. Scientists and their exotic planet fetish, I swear.
